The snare wire for a 14 Inches slingerland snare drums utilizing the slap shot strainer (used from the late 1970s through the early 80s) has 20 strands, an overall length of 16 Inches, and a strand length of 15 1/4 Inches (including the soldered area on each end-plate). Both end-plates have two 3/16 Inches holes positioned 1 Inch on center. Puresound's vintage series snare wires are designed not only to replace worn and no longer available wires on vintage snares, they are also designed to enhance the performance of those classic drums.
