The standard snare wire for a 14 inches premier 2000 snare drum has 19 strands, an overall length of 16 1/8 inches, and a strand length of 15 inches (including the soldered area on each end-plate). each end plate has two key-holes designed to hook onto the drum's strainer system. puresound's vintage series snare wires are designed not only to replace worn and no longer available wires on vintage snares, they are also designed to enhance the performance of those classic drums.
